My pet peeve for the day. Actually it's been coming on for awhile now. Ever since they upped the price of a cup of Timmy's. The price now for a cup of large coffee is $1.49. So if you pay with $1.50 you are left with 1 cent owing to you. If you are treating a friend as well, the cost is $2.99. So if you pay with $3.00 you are left with 1 cent owing to you. My pet peeve you might be asking yourself? Well it is suprising how many of the servers atomatically just keep the one cent and the rest ask you if you want the penny back. They don't ask if you want your change any other time. Just think of the number of coffees bought each day throughout Canada and if T.H. kept just half of the pennies owing to their customers how much money would that amount to. What do you think they do with those extra pennies? If you bought 149 cups of coffee and let them keep your penny every time do you think you could go in with no money and get a free cup? I don't know, what do you think. Maybe I should switch to Starbuck's.

I just have to go on record and say that I love live theater. Especially musicals. We were at the Massey theater on Sat pm and saw 42nd Street. I've seen it before in the theater and on film. But it's always fun to see it again. Just makes you want to dance and sing all the way home. The girls and I have got tickets to see Chicago in May. Can't wait........!

Bert and I have just returned from a must see movie called "Amazing Grace". It is the story of William Wilberforce, a man who worked passionately to abolish slavery in Britain. Wilberforce lived between 1759-1833. Wilberforce was a member of the congregation of John Newton whom I'm sure many of you know wrote the hymn "Amazing Grace". Did you also know that John Newton had been the captain of a slave ship prior to having had a dramatic religious conversion while steering his ship through a storm. It is said that William Wilberforce was an evangelical christian who approached politics from a position of strict christian morality. Imagine that. The move is inspiring to say the least.

I just finished reading Baybunch's new post re smuggling in a savory turkey sausage to the movies. LOL It reminded me of the times when Bert and I were dating and we would go to gastown to a place that baked fresh bread. We would buy a loaf of fresh warm sour dough bread, smuggle it into the theatre and eat hunks of it while watching a movie. Fun times. What's the weirdest thing you have smuggled into a movie, theatre, whatever?
